Scale: Reading Ornament Dimensions Before You Buy
The commonest complaint about tank décor is that it arrived far larger or far smaller than expected.
Photographs have no scale
A cave shot on a plain background could be five centimetres or twenty-five. Only the dimensions tell you.
Think in tank footprint
An ornament should leave clear swimming length. In a 60 cm tank, a 21 cm centrepiece takes a third of the run.
Height matters in small tanks
In a shallow tank, a tall ornament breaks the surface and looks wrong. Check the height against your water line, not the tank rim.
